"Having known Sheryl and her family for quite a long time now, I was deeply honoured when she entrusted me with the role of a trustee for her charity, dedicated to the memory of her remarkable son, Jahvon.

Given my professional background as an accountant, I am committed to managing the financial responsibilities and overseeing the preparation of charity accounts to ease Sheryl’s workload. Additionally, I bring previous experience participating in fundraising sports events and I'm enthusiastic about taking on any challenges that arise in support of J-Edo."

"In honour of my son Jahvon, I am the Founder and one of the Trustees of  J-Edo Fund.

A commitment to supporting young individuals who have faced or may face exclusion from mainstream school stems from my extensive experience in education. My journey has traversed the education sector, from serving as a Art and Design Secondary Teacher and working for an education work related learning charity previously known as "Central Berkshire Education Business Partnership (CBEBP)".

My aspiration for the J-Edo charity is to perpetuate the inspiration for young people to believe in themselves, recognizing that there are diverse paths to success.

Jahvon's infectious drive to succeed and uplift others continues to be my guiding light.

With a longstanding passion for sports, I eagerly anticipate engaging in more significant sports challenges to raise funds for J-Edo, fostering its mission of positive impact."

"Hi, I’m Gordon. I first met Jahvon when he was a cheeky, energetic schoolboy, full of life and mischief. Over the years, I had the privilege of watching him grow into a kind, thoughtful, loving, and charismatic young man. He had a special way of connecting with people, everyone who met him felt like they’d just spent time with someone truly unique.

I’ve worked in the construction industry for over 20 years, focusing on Health, Safety, and Environment. But beyond my day job, I’ve been closely involved with J-Edo Fund from the beginning, fundraising, helping out at events, and doing whatever I can to support the cause. It’s a charity that means a lot to me, and I’m deeply committed to its mission.

I take safeguarding seriously and will always make sure the work we do keeps people safe and supported. My background in health, safety, and wellbeing gives me the tools to help the charity manage risk and promote mental health awareness, something I care deeply about.

Being part of J-Edo Fund is a way for me to honour Jahvon’s memory and help make a difference, just like he did in his own quiet, powerful way.

I feel energised by the prospect of being a trustee and look forward to taking J-Edo to the next level."

"I am supporting J-Edo Fund in honour of my nephew, Jahvon. Having watched Jahvon grow from a kind and thoughtful boy into a determined young man, I was inspired by his strong will to succeed and his ability to overcome adversity. I am now dedicating my time and energy to supporting the charity’s mission and helping continue Jahvon’s legacy.

I previously served in the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment (RGBW), now part of The 5th Rifles, where I developed the discipline, resilience and teamwork that continue to guide my approach to life and service.

Alongside my military background, I have built a career in customer service and technical support roles with organisations including HP Inc., Prudential and Thames Water.

As a trustee, I am proud to support J-Edo Fund’s work in empowering young people through martial arts, helping them develop confidence, resilience and the determination to overcome challenges."

"Becoming a trustee of J-Edo Fund is both an honour and deeply personal to me. The charity was founded in memory of my nephew, Jahvon, whose love for sport and passion for encouraging others touched so many lives.

Its mission to empower young people through sport reflects exactly what he would have wanted creating opportunity, building confidence and inspiring the next generation. I am proud to help carry forward his legacy in such a meaningful way. He was deeply loved, and though he is missed every day, his spirit continues to inspire everything we do.

I bring over 14 years of experience working with vulnerable adults and, more recently, children, with a strong background in safeguarding and media. I am committed to helping ensure J-Edo Fund provides a safe, supportive environment while also strengthening its voice and impact within the community."

" Having come to know Sheryl through my partner’s family, I was invited to take part in the Tough Mudder 15K last year and jumped at the chance. This year, I’m pushing myself even further by taking on the Tough Mudder Infinity challenge in aid of J-Edo Fund.

While I didn’t have the privilege of knowing Jahvon personally, the values this charity carries in his name are ones I deeply believe in. I know what sport can give a young person, confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging but only if they have access to it. For those facing financial hardship or difficult home lives, that access isn’t always guaranteed. J-Edo Fund is helping to change that.

Alongside my love for sport, I work as a software engineer, and I’m proud to bring both my passion and my skills together in support of the charity’s mission."
