Training Progress Video Overview
In this video, you’ll see a range of martial arts techniques, beginning with the basics. We start with the roundhouse kick, focusing on the mechanics turning the hips and positioning the feet correctly. This footage captures the early stages of Isaac’s training journey, where movements are understandably a bit stiff and his hands are often down.
As the video progresses, you'll notice significant improvement. Isaac begins to execute more advanced techniques, such as the Superman punch, which requires coordination between both hands and precise footwork.
We also dedicated a lot of time to defensive skills, using foam sticks to train proper hand positioning and blocking techniques. By the end of the video, Isaac is confidently performing basic 3-4 strike combinations with solid form, finishing in a strong stance with hands up an impressive leap forward from his very first day training with Fu Jau.🥊💚
Isaac, our J-Edo Fund beneficiary, continues to go from strength to strength. His performance in Term 1 set a high benchmark, reflecting his strong commitment and potential. While attendance in Term 2 was slightly lower, Isaac has remained focused, demonstrating consistent effort, a respectful attitude, and a willingness to engage positively with his training and development.

The journey to connect with our students proved more challenging than anticipated. Two unsuccessful attempts to engage with local schools left me uncertain about enrolling anyone. However, thanks to Gavin Mernagh at Haybrook College, following an engaging meeting, we successfully enrolled two students on the final day of the Summer Term. Coach Berry and I were convinced that this marked the beginn

Both students have shown remarkable progress in their first term. When asked about their thoughts on the program, one student expressed, "It's fun, I'm really enjoying the exercise." In response to Coach Berry's inquiry about additional goals in the sessions, they expressed a desire for more group work to connect with fellow students.
Congratulations to both students! We look forward to continuing
